Philadelphia Junior Open

From May 8-9, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Philadelphia Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division,  Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Philadelphia Junior Open

Matthew Zerfass from Macungie, PA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Zerfass brought in scores of 74 and 72 for a weekend total of 146. Kristof Kopecky from Garnet Valley, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 69, a weekend total of 150. Keller Mulhern from Exton, PA rounded out the top three honors with scores of 75 and 77 for a weekend total of 152.

Boys 14-15

Philadelphia Junior Open

Charles Feraco from Furlong, PA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Feraco finished with scores of 79 and 78 for a weekend total of 157. Michael Deussing from Solebury, PA and Hunter Stetson from Newtown Square, PA tied for the runner up honors. Deussing finished with scores of 84 and 75 and Stetson brought in scores of 82 and 77 for a weekend total of 159.

Boys 11-13

Philadelphia Junior Open

Davis Conaway was the first place finisher for the weekend after a par on the first sudden death playoff hole agains Tong Si. Conaway brought in scores of 84 and 80 for a weekend total of 164. Tong Si from Millburn, NJ was the runner up for the weekend bringing in scores of 89 and 75 for a weekend total of 164. Ravi Khanna from Bryn Mawr, PA rounded out the top three honors with scores of 96 and 87 for a weekend total of 183.

Emma Reilly from Doylestown, PA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Reilly brought in scores of 75 and 78 for a weekend total of 153. Chaela Barnett from Hatboro, PA was the runner up for the weekend. Barnett brought in socres of 80 and 76 for a weekend total of 156. Mia Pace from Exton, PA rounded out the top three honors with scores of 80 and 84 for a weekend total of 164.

Alexandra Engart from Harleysville, PA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Engart brought in scores of 90 and 78 for a weekend total of 168. Mara Dubacher from Bethlehem, PA was the runner up for the weekend. Dubacher brought in a weekend total of 225.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
