From January 28-29, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Palm Beach Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division
Boys 16-18

Alexander Rowland from Albany, Bahamas was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rowland brought in scores of 77 and 71 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Evan Buddenhagen from Gloucester, MA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149. Will Giaquinto from Hamden, CT finished the top three honors with scores of 73 and 76 for a weekend total of 149.
Boys 14-15

Oliver White from Albany, Bahamas was the first-place finisher this weekend. White brought in scores of 76 and 78 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Charlie Pollock from Chagrin Falls, OH was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 76 for a combined total of 159. Joseph Gilden from Davie, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 85 for a weekend total of 165.
Boys 11-13

Aidan Gorospe from Albany, Bahamas was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gorospe brought in scores of 74 and 70 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Patrick Shawger from Singer Island, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151. William Richards from Miami, FLfinished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 77 for a weekend total of 153.
Girls 14-18

Staci Pla from West Palm Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Pla brought in scores of 76 and 71 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Madison Lowenstein from Boca Raton, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149. Hsin Tai Lin from Taipei City, Taiwan finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 75 for a weekend total of 152.
Girls U13

Mila Zalsman from New Providence, Bahamas was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zalsman brought in scores of 80 and 82 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend. Sofia Wood from Coral Springs, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 111 and 110 for a combined total of 211. Jasmine Lazzara from West Palm Beach, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 138 and 149 for a weekend total of 287.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
