From February 1st through 2nd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Palm Beach Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included theTiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie ElsDivision Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, andJustin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Trey Tesiero from Saint Johns, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tesiero brought in scores of 77 and 73 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Christian Collins from Southampton, Bermuda was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 73 for a combined total of 151. Zesen Hu from Bradenton, FL finished with a tie for second place with scores of 71 and 80 for a weekend total of 151 strokes.
Boys 14-15

Frank Kennedy, from Wychwood Park, FL was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 73 and 71 for a combined total of 144. Cochran Rafe from Palm Beach, FL was the runner up with scores of 77 and 71 for a 148 weekend total. Brett Allen from West Palm Beach, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 82 for a weekend total of 158 strokes.
Boys 11-13

Ethan Keen from West Palm Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Keen brought in scores of 79 and 72 with a combined score of151. CJ Kemble from North Port, FL was the second-place finisher with scores of 73 and 80 for a total of153. To round out the top three was Gavin Schlembach from Delray Beach, FL. Schlembach, ended the weekend with scores of 81 and 82 for a total of 163.
Girls 14-18

Elizabeth Kondal from St. Augustine, FL was the top finisher with impressive scores of 72 and 75 for a 147 weekend finish. Agatha Alesson from Weston, FL took home the runner up title with scores of 75 and 79 for a weekend total of 154. Gabriela Mead from Miami, FL rounded out the top three with scores of 73 and 82 a combined total of 155.
Girls U13

Ann-Sophie Bourgault from Mont Tremblant, Canada was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 78 and 78. Her combined total for the weekend was 156 strokes. Hannah Rabb from Watsontown, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 81, a combined total of 158 strokes. Staci Pla, from West Palm Beach, FL came away with the third place honor with scores of 81 and 78 with a combined total of 159 strokes.
Boys 10 Under
Jordan Reyes from West Palm Beach, FL was the top finisher with impressive scores of 87 and 99 for a 186 weekend finish. Benjamin Caplan from Boca Raton took home the runner up title with scores of 92 and 95 for a weekend total of 187.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
