On Saturday November 3 – Sunday November 4, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Orlando Junior Open in Orlando, FL. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson Dechambeau Division Boys U10, Justin Rose Division Girls U13, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

Orlando Junior Open

Luc Warnock captured the first-place finish at the Orlando Junior Open in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a 2-day total of 143 (74-69). With solid play both days, Warnock was able to hold off 2nd place finishers Yaroslav llyenko and Luke Bigelow by 3 shots

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Orlando Junior Open

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 division, Mohit Balaji took home first place this weekend by shooting a 2-day total of 144. Solid play in the second round allowed Balaji to take victory over Nils Nottebohm and Anthony Chen who both finished second with a 2-day total of 146.

Ernie Els 11-13

Orlando Junior Open

Cooper Claycomb did not disappoint in the Ernie Els boys 11-13 division as he carded rounds of 70-73 to win in his division over Frank Kennedy who carded rounds of 74-72 to claim 2nd place. Rounding out the division was Thompson Gedge who placed third with a two day total of 156.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Orlando Junior Open

Viktoria Krnacova ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division by carding a total of 145. With consistent rounds, Krnacova was able to hold off 2nd place finisher Handa Liu by 1 shot. Rounding out the division in 3rd place was Natasha Kiel, who carded a 2-day total of 147.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Orlando Junior Open

Menglu Zhu ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Rose Girls U13 Division by carding a total of 153 (78-75). With consistent rounds, Zhu was able to hold off Jia Ying Lai who claimed 2nd place with a total of 162. Rounding out the division was Angela Wang with a total of 168.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
