From July 2-3, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Orange County National Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18
Eugene Kang from Seoul, Republic of Korea was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kang brought in scores of 74 and 36 for a combined total of 110 for the weekend. Lucas Vidal Garcia from Santiago, Chile was the runner up with scores of 72 and 39 for a combined total of 111. Yexing Li from Shenzhen, China finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 37 for a weekend total of 112.
Boys 14-15

Javier Santolaya from Santiago, Chile was the first-place finisher this weekend. Santolaya brought in scores of 71 and 68 for a combined total of 139 for the weekend. Nuttachai Khamkhogruad from Bluffton, South Carolina was the runner up with scores of 68 and 75 for a combined total of 143. Jacob Immelman from Winter Park, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 73 and 75 for a weekend total of 148.
Boys 11-13

Ryan Oats from Lake Mary, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Oats brought ins scores of 74 and 38 for a combined total of 112 for the weekend. Shane Frasure from Clermont, Florida was the runner up with scores of 75 and 41 for a combined total of 116. Giancarlo Aguirre rom Lima Peru finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 39 for a weekend total of 121.
Girls 14-18

Nicole Sardinha from Doral, Venezuela was the first-place finisher this weekend. Sardinha brought in scores of 73 and 38 fo ra combined total of 111 for the weekend. Bess Chan from Hong Kong, Hong Kong and Yaya Sadamoto from West Chapel, Florida tied for the runner up with scores of75 and 42, and 76 and 41, respectively for a combined total of 117 each.
Girls U13
Maria Mercedes Tablante from Lecheria, Venezuela was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tablante brought in scores of 73 and 39for a combined total of 112 for the weekend. Pimpakorn Panyadilok from Ladpraw, Bangkok, Thailand was the runner up with scores of 76 and 37 for a combined total of 113. Gayatri Arora from Pinehurst, North Carolina and Xiyao Zhang from Winter Garden, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 39,and 85 and 40, respectively, for a weekend total of 125 each.
Boys 10 Under

Danilo Custer from North Palm Beach, Florida was the first-pace finisher this weekend. Custer brought in scores of 76 and 36 for a combined total of 112 for the weekend. Jack Smith rom Miami Springs, Florida was the runner up with scores of 84 and 43 for a combined total of 127. Herschell Butts from Winter Garden, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 87 and 45 for a weekend total of 132.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
