From September 7th and 8th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Old Fort Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Trey Rouse from Homewood, Alabama was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rouse brought in scores of 78 and 70 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Justin Olive from Florence Alabama was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 72 and 77 for a combined total of 149. Zane Johnson from Nolensville Tennesee and Blake Mazzola from Chesterfield Missouri finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 76 for a weekend total of 154 and 78 and 76 for a weekend total of 154
Boys 14-15

Trip Sanfelipo, from Wildwood, Missouri was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149. Austin Bibb from Eads, Tennesse as the runner up with scores of 79 and 73 for a 152 weekend total. Gabe Suiter from Clarksville Tennesse finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 77 for a weekend total of 154.
Boys 11-13

Ethan Coffield from Hamilton Georgia, was the first-place finisher this weekend. Coffield brought in scores of 78 and 75 with a combined score of 153. Jacob Purifoy from Brentwood Tennesse was the second-place finisher with scores of 80 and 80 for a total of 160. To round out the top three was Jackson Hope from Dallas Georgia. Hope ended the weekend with scores of 84 and 83 for a total of 167
Girls 14-18

Emily Wilson from Brentwood Tennessee was the top finisher with impressive scores of 75 and 74 for a 149 weekend finish. Vilda Westh Blanc from Wartrace Tennesse took home the runner up title with scores of 76 and 76 for a weekend total of 152. Isabella Griggs from Nashville Tennesserounded out the top three with scores of 76 and 76 a combined total of 152.
Girls U13

Alissa Pressly from Flowery Branch Georgia was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 83 and 78. Her combined total for the weekend was 161 strokes. Camryn Coffield from Hamilton Georgia was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 80, a combined total of 163 strokes.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
