Northern Virginia Finale at the Gauntlet

From October 24-25, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Nothern Virginia Finale at the Guantlet The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Grant Miller from Richmond, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Miller brought in scores of 72 and 77 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Drew Carlin from Ashburn, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 76 for a combined total of 153. Daniel Holden from Alexandria, VA finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 85 for a weekend total of 161.

Erik Sohn from Chevy Chase, MD was the first-place finisher this weekend. Sohn brought in scores of 80 and 83 for a combined total of 163 for the weekend. Sam Hahn from Richmon, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 80 for a combined total of 164. Benjamin Chamberlin from Germantown, MD  and Dylan Olinger from Williamsburg, VA both finished the top three honors. Chamberlin finished with scores of 79 and 87 for a weekend total of 166. Olinger finished with a 77 and 89 for a total of 166.

Charlotte Cute from Fairfax, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Cute brought in scores of 89 and 88 for a combined total of 177 for the weekend. Cameron Freund from Bethesda, MD was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 87 and 91 for a combined total of 178. Allyson Childs from Leesburg, VA finished the top three honors with scores of 113 and 119 for a weekend total of 232.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
