From June 18-19, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Northern Ohio Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Ajay Morris from Avondale, Arizona was the first-place finisher this weekend. Morris brought in scores of 78 and 77 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Will Campbell from Mars, Pennsylvania was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 77 for a combined total of 158. Blake Bertolo from Gibsonia, Pennsylvania finished tied for third with scores of 81 and 78 for a weekend total of 159. Zachary Ross from Moon Township, Pennsylvania finished the top three honors tied for third with scores of 82 and 77 for a weekend total of 159.
Boys 14-15

Michael-Tyler Polca from Rocky River, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Polca brought in scores of 84 and 80 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend. Max Weber from Massillon, Ohio was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 86 for a combined total of 166. Kai Shing Ernie Mok from Wallingford, Connecticut finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 83 for a weekend total of 167.
Boys 11-13
Girls 14-18

Gwendolyn Yarnall from East Aurora, New York was the first-place finisher this weekend. Yarnall brought in scores of 81 and 74 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Kristen Belden from Canton, Ohio was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 85 for a combined total of 169. Luciana Masters from Hermitage, Pennsylvania tied for third with scores of 85 and 86 for a weekend total of 171. Riley McKenzie from Crooksville, Ohio finished the top three honors tied for third with scores of 85 and 86 for a weekend total of 169.
Girls U13

Lindsey Hoover from Newcastle, Pennsylvania was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hoover brought in scores of 90 and 97 for a combined total of 187 for the weekend.
Boys 10 Under

Keenan Covich from Morgantown, West Virginia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Covich brought in scores of 115 and 110 for a combined total of 225 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
