Northern NJ Spring Junior Open

From May 22-23, 2021 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Northern NJ Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Northern NJ Spring Junior Open

Zachary Loninger from Crosswicks, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Loninger brought in scores of 76 and 72 for a combined total of 148 (+4) for the weekend. Miles Martin from Hopewell, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 72 and 77 for a combined total of 149 (+5). John Bradbeer from Rosemont, Pennsylvania and Alexander Feraco from Furlong, Pennsylvania tied third-place honors. Bradbee finished with scores of 74 and 76 for a combined score of 150 (+6), while Feraco tallied scores of 78 and 72 for a combined score of 150 (+6) for the weekend total.

Northern NJ Spring Junior Open

Charles Feraco from Furlong, Pennsylvania was the first-place finisher this weekend. Feraco brought in scores of 78 and 76 for a combined total of 154 (+10) for the weekend. William Kramer from Summit, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 76 for a combined total of 156 (+12). Jack St. Ledger from Little Falls, New Jersey finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 77 for a weekend total of 159 (+15).

Mihir Roperia from Cranbury, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Roperia brought in scores of 70 and 71 for a combined total of 141 (-3) for the weekend. Arth Sinha from Princeton Junction, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 70 for a combined total of 144 (E). Holden Schipper from Lebanon, New Jersey finished the top three honors with scores of 73 and 74 for a weekend total of 147 (+3).

Emily Odwin from St. James, Barbados was the first-place finisher this weekend. Odwin brought in scores of 68 and 73 for a combined total of 141 (-3) for the weekend. Sydney Kuo from Edison, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 72 and 75 for a combined total of 147 (+3). Jenelle Valera from Piscataway, New Jersey finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 76 for a weekend total of 150 (+6).

Olivia Pak from Fort Lee, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Pak brought in scores of 80 and 81 for a combined total of 161 (+17) for the weekend. Angela Liang from Bridgewater, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 81 for a combined total of 167 (+23). Caylin Wong from Great Neck, New York and Qianqi (Jennifer) Wang from New York, New York tied for third-place honors. Both Wong and Wang brought in scores of 85 and 83 for a combined total of 168 (+24).

Jaxon Wong from Great Neck, New York was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wong brought in scores of 101 and 88 for a combined total of 189 (+45) for the weekend. Jack McCue from Bay Harbor Islands, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 100 and 97 for a combined total of 197 (+53).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
