From October 22-23, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Northern New Jersey Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18
Patrick Scenna from Manasquan, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Scenna brought in scores of 72 and 69 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Daniel Cassidy from Red Bank, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 70 and 74 for a combined total of 144. Eli Ropietski from Harveys Lake, Pennslyvania finished the top three honors with scores of 70 and 75 for a weekend total of 145.
Boys 14-15
Ethan Weinberg from Marlboro, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Weinberg brought in scores of 72 and 73 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Matthew Lu from Basking Ridge, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 71 for a combined total of 149. Dominick Beck from Randolph, New Jersey finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 76 for a weekend total of 150.
Boys 11-13
Eric Li from Larchmont, New York was the first-place finisher this weekend. Li brought in scores of 78 and 77 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Radley Cahili from Flanders, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 91 and 91 for a combined total of 182. Charlie Kaufman from Montville, New Jersey finished the top three honors with scores of 99 and 95 for a weekend total of 194.
Girls 14-18
Sirina Ganne from Holmdel, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ganne brought in scores of 73 and 74 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Marisa Flores from Paramus, New Jersey was tied for runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 80 for a combined total of 153. Natalis Spiska from Jersey City, New Jersey was tied for runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 75 for a weekend total of 153.
Girls U13
Jessica Kim from Tenafly, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kim brought in scores of 87 and 81 for a combined total of 168 for the weekend. Annette Hickey from Montclair, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 90 and 83 for a combined total of 173. Taerin Lee from Jericho, New York finished the top three honors with scores of 93 and 87 for a weekend total of 180.
Boys 10 Under
Julian Ossorio from Basking Ridge, New Jersey was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ossorio brought in scores of 92 and 98 for a combined total of 190 for the weekend. James Gannon from Doylestown, Pennsylvania was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 129 and 136 for a combined total of 265.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
