From February 8th through the 9th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Northern California Junior Open Presented by Oncore Golf . The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Ethan Korock from Lodi, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Korock brought in scores of 70 and 80 a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Jonathon Hydorn from Brentwood, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 81 for a combined total of 158. Lukas Taggart from Washoe Valley, NV finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 84for a weekend total of 158.
Boys 14-15

Easton Hether from Fairfield, CA was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 74 and 85 for a combined total of 159. Arjun Aujla from Greenbrae, CA was the runner up with scores of 81and 91 for a 172. Kenny Castro from Sacramento, CA finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 85for a weekend total of 177.
Boys 11-13

Jack Mount from Belvedere Tiburon, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mount brought in scores of 84 and 95 with a combined score of179.
Girls 14-18

Xinen Lin was the top finisher with impressive scores of 71 and 78for a 149 weekend finish. Jasmin Krishna from Pleasanton, CA took home the runner up title with scores of 76 and 80 for a weekend total of 156. Kate Lim from Pleasanton, CA rounded out the top three with scores of 77 and 85 a combined total of 162.
Girls U13

Anita Lumpongpoung from Sacramento, CA was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 87and86. Her combined total for the weekend was 173 strokes. Kailey Yoon from Reno, NV was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 93 and 94, a combined total of 187 strokes.
Boys 10 Under

Christian Choi from Los Altos, CA was the top finisher with impressive scores of 80 and 79 for a 159 weekend finish. Giancarlo Aguirre from Lima, Peru took home the runner up title with scores of 79 and 91 for a weekend total of 170.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
