Northern California Junior Open at Spanos Park

From April 24-25, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Northern California Junior Open at Spanos Park. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division,  Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Northern California Junior Open at Spanos Park

Curtis Da Silva from Monterey, CA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Da Silva finished with impressive scores of 68 and 72 for a weekend total of 140. Advaiith Pathi from San Jose, CA was the runner up for the weekend. Pathi finished with scores of 69 and 75 for a weekend total of 144. Rounding out the top three honors was Easton Hether from Fairfield, CA. Hether brought in scores of 75 and 70 for a weekend finish of 145.

Northern California Junior Open at Spanos Park

Christopher Woody from Stockton, CA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Woody brought in scores of 88 and 87 for a weekend total of 175. Rishi Gupta from Reno, NV was the runner up for the weekend. Gupta finished with scores of 97 and 81 for a total of 178.

Northern California Junior Open at Spanos Park

Taiki Matsuya from Campbell, CA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Matsuya finished with scores of 73 and 74 for a weekend total of 147. Barron Beinke from Danville, CA was the runner up for the weekend. Beinke brought in scores of 87 and 83 for a weekend finish of 170. Rounding out the top three honors was Aston Lim from Union City, CA. Bringing in scores of 89 and 94, Lim finished with a score of 173.

Lindsey Huang from Foster City, CA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Huang finished with scores of 72 and 75 for a weekend total of 147. Audrey Brust from Reno, NV was the runner up for the weekend. Brust brought in scores of 76 and 74 for a weekend finish of 150. Sohini Pillay from San Jose, CA was rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Pillay finished with scores of 79 and 75 for a weekend total of 154.

Alyssa Lim from Union City, CA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Lim finished with scores of 78 and 76 for a weekend total of 154. Amelia Karnbanjong from Rancho Cordova, CA was the runner up for the weekend. Karnbanjong finished with consistent scores of 82 for a weekend total of 164. Anita Lumpongpoung from Sacramento, CA rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Lumpongpoung brought in scores of 84 and 88 for a weekend total of 172.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
