Northeast Junior Showcase presented by Travis Mathew

From July 7-8, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Northeast Junior Showcase presented by Travis Mathew. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Caleb Decker from Vernon, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Decker brought in scores of 69 and 77 for a combined total of 146 (+2) for the weekend. Johnny Gruninger from Syracuse, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 69 and 79 for a combined total of 148 (+4). Gabe Williams from Deansboro, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 75 for a weekend total of 149 (+5).

Tyler Berkman from Potsdam, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Berkman brought in scores of 71 and 74 for a combined total of 145 (+1) for the weekend. Ryan Jones from Canton, NY and Jackson Saroney from Syracuse, NY tied for second place. Jones tallied scores of 78 and 73 for a combined score of 151 (+7), while Saroney brought in scores of 75 and 76 for a total of 151 (+7).

Daniel Young from Syracuse, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Young brought in scores of 76 and 77 for a combined total of 153 (+9) for the weekend. Joseph Riccelli from Fayetteville, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 117 and 132  for a combined total of 249 (+105).

Ailya Liberatore from Palm Beach Gardens, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Liberatore brought in scores of 82 and 77 for a combined total of 159 (+15) for the weekend. Sophia Cellura from Rochester, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 82 for a combined total of 165 (+21). Gina Milazzo from Greenwood Lake, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 83 for a weekend total of 168 (+24).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
