On Saturday April 14- Sunday April 15, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the North Jersey Junior Open at High Bridge Hills Golf Club in Highbridge, New Jersey. The tournament was made up of 36-hole, two-day format and included golfers from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Boys Under 10 Division, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 and the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

North Jersey Junior Open

Liam Larkin of Green Brook, New Jersey finished in first place in the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, after a playoff round between James Bradley of Wayne, New Jersey. Liam had a two-day total score of 156(78-78) and James had two-day total score of 156(73-83) before entering the playoff. Liam won the playoff and James fell short to finish in second place. Sean Vowells of Chatham, New Jersey came in third place and finished with a two-day total score of 157(77-80), finishing, one stroke behind the leaders.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

North Jersey Junior Open

In the Will Smith Division Boys 14-15 Paul Ulanich of Freehold, New Jersey finished in first place with a two-day total score of 157(78-79). Ryan Rinaldo of Colts Neck, New Jersey and John Peters of Carlisle, Pennsylvania tied for second place with a two-day total score of 159.

John Hiller of New York, New York finished in first place in the Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13. John finished with a two-day total score of 146(72-74). Sam O’Hara of Rye, New York came in second place with a two-day total score of 160(79-81). Hunter Po of Bridgewater, New Jersey finished in third place with a two-day total score of 161(77-84).

Julia Mclaughlin of Princeton, New Jersey finished in first place in the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18. Julia finished with a two-day total score of 155(76-79). Liddie McCook of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania came in second place with a two-day total score of 170(81-89). Caroline Tamasi of Pennington, New Jersey finished in third place with a two-day total score of 172(84-88).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
