North Jersey Fall Junior Open

From November 2nd to the 3rd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the North Jersey Fall Junior Open and ar Architects Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions, that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

North Jersey Fall Junior Open

Nicholas Hano, from Warrington, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hano brought in scores of 74 and 69 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Shawn Colella from Marcellus, NY  was the runners up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 73 for a combined total of 146. Austin Liao from Warren, NJ claimed the third place spot with shooting rounds of 78 and 71 for a tournament total of 149. Bobby Lugiano also tied for that third spot shooting scores of 75 and 74 for a tournament total of 149.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

North Jersey Fall Junior Open

Derek Gutierrez from Cranford, NJ was able to claim first place with shooting rounds of 74 and 74 for a total of 148. But Aident LeBlanc from Macungie, PA also came in shooting 148 with scores of 76 and 72 to tie him for first place. John Keba from Emmaus, PA came in second shooting rounds of 77 and 76 for a tournament total of 153. Then rounding out the top three honors was Punn Chittaratlert from Jamesville, Ny shot rounds of 79 and 79 for a total of 158 for the tournament.

Ernie Els 11-13

North Jersey Fall Junior Open

Lance Hollingshead from Basking Ridge, NJ was able to claim the first position shooting back to back rounds of 68. But he was able to get a hole in one during the second round, he finished the tournament a total of 136. Matthew Carpentier from Pittsford, NY was able to claim the second spot with shooting rounds of 76 and 77 for a tournament total of 153. Amos Choe from New York, Ny rounds out the top three with shooting rounds of 74 and 81 for a tournament total of 155.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

North Jersey Fall Junior Open

Sawyer Brockstedt from Rehoboth Beach, DE was able to claim the first place, with shooting scores of 78 and 74 for a tournament total of 152. Julia Zigrossi claimed the second spot with shooting scores of 83 and 78 for a total of 161. Then rounding out the top three was Ellison Lundquist, she shot rounds of 83 and 81 for a total of 164.

Justin Rose Girls U13

North Jersey Fall Junior Open

Taylor Sieg from Summit, NJ was able to wrap up the first place position with shooting rounds of 77 and 77 for a tournament total of 154. Then rounding out the top two honors was Rayee Feng from Short Hills, NJ shot rounds of 90 and 81 for a tournament total of 171.

Boys 10 Under

North Jersey Fall Junior Open

Rayhao Feng from Short Hills, NJ was able to claim the first spot this weekend. He was able to shoot rounds of 86 and 82 for a tournament total of 168. Then rounding out the top two honors, Asher Katz shot rounds of 89 and 93 for a tournament total fo 182.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
