From Saturday, May 4 – Sunday, May 5, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the North Florida Junior Open at The Golf Club of Fleming Island in Orange Park, FL. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and the Justin Rose Division Girls 13 and Under. Due to inclement weather, the second round of the tournament was incomplete. All placing is based off of the end of the first round.
Boys 16-18

After the first round, Jack Doll of Ponte Vedra, FL became the champion of the Tiger Woods Division. He finished out the tournament with 74 strokes. Just two strokes behind him fell second place finisher Christopher Ostrow of Middleburg, FL. Pablo Quintero of Bogota, Columbia earned the bronze with 83 strokes.
Boys 14-15

Nicolas Quintero Castillo of Bogota, Colombia earned the gold in the Will Smith Division, as he finished with 78 strokes. Four strokes behind him fell Antonio Juarbe of Jesup, GA with 84 strokes. Xiaoyi Gu of China earned the final podium spot with 88 strokes.
Boys 11-13

Leading off the Ernie Els Division is the one and only Jack Roberts of St. Marys, GA. He finished out the round with 72 strokes. Tyler Taber of Mt. Pleasant, SC earned the silver with 80 strokes. Four strokes behind him fell bronze medalist Charles Tong of China.
Girls 14-18

Honglin Lu of China won first place in the Justin Timberlake Division with 77 strokes. Camille Jackson of Keystone Heights, FL and Yongze Cheng of China rounded out the podium in a tight race with 81 and 82 strokes respectively.
Girls U13

Amelia Cobb earned the first-place title in the Justin Rose Division as she finished with 85 strokes. Carmella Carlisi of Flagler Beach, FL earned the silver with 79 strokes.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
