From August 13-14, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the New York Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Arav Tank from Woodcliff Lake, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tank brought in scores of 82 and 74 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Andrew Chen Yang from Princeton, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 77 for a combined total of 156. Diego Ocasio from Yonkers, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 79 for a weekend total of 156.
Boys 14-15

Ji Li from Dubai, United Arab Emirates was the first-place finisher this weekend. Li brought in scores of 86 and 76 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend. Ravi Khanna from Fairfield, CT was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 79 for a combined total of 162. Charlie Fennelly from East Hampton, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 84 for a weekend total of 164.
Boys 11-13

Ryan Liu from Manhasset, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Liu brought in scores 81 and 67 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Jerry Guo from Scarsdale, NY and Eric Li from Larchmont, NY, tied for second place honors with scores of 77 and 76, and 79 and 74, respectively for a weekend total of 153 total.
Girls 14-18

Lucy Barton from Newton, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Barton brought in scores of 81 and 80 for a combined total of 161 for the weekend. Isabella Ok from Goshen, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 82 for a combined total of 163. Olivia Deakins from Dobbs Ferry, NY and Harper Dittman from Fairport, NY tied for the third place honors with scores of 81 and 83, and 85 and 79, respectively, for a weekend total of 164.
Girls U13

Sydney Chang from Old Bethpage, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Chang brought in scores of 108 and 102 for a combined total of 210 for the weekend.
Boys 10 Under

Gregory Psaki from New York, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Psaki brought in scores of 72 and 77 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Thomas Sullivan from Watertown, CT was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 81 for a combined total of 161.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
