New Jersey Kickoff at Seaview

From March 26th-27th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the New Jersey Kickoff at Seaview. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Jack Tarzy from Medford, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tarzy brought in scores of 69 and 75 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Christian Deussing from Solebury, PA was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 76 and 79 for a combined total of 155. Tyler Leyden from Glenside, PA finished top three honors with scores of 75 and 82 for a weekend total of 157.

Carson Holmes from Thorndale, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Holmes brought in scores of 76 and 83 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Ethan Weinberg from Marlboro, NJ was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 78 and 82 for a combined total of 160. Davis Conaway from West Chester, PA finished top three honors with scores of 80 and 82 for a weekend total of 188.

Dawson Lew from Toronto, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lew brought in scores of 71 and 71 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Leon Bui from New York, NY was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 76 and 73 for a combined total of 149. Ethan Yao from Manhasset, NY finished top three honors with scores of 78 and 80 for a weekend total of 158.

Juyeon Paek from Millwood, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Paek brought in scores of 77 and 78 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Inha Jun from Edgewater, NJ, and Jordana Windhorst-Knudsen from Lake City, MN tied for runner-up this weekend with scores of 79 and 79, and 82 and 76, for a combined total of 158 each.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
