New Jersey Junior Open

From June 5-6, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the New Jersey Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

New Jersey Junior Open

Robert Dominy from Moorestown, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Dominy brought in scores of 79 and 75 for a combined total of 154 (+10) for the weekend. Jayden Ko from Tenafly, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 76 for a combined total of 155 (+11). There was a three-way-tie for third place for a weekend score of 155 (+13). Jacob Lee from Rye Brook, NY tallied round scores of 80 and 77, Jake Morgan from Succasunna, NJ scored a 79 and 78 respectfully, and Arav Tank from Woodcliff Lake, NJ brought in round scores of 79 and 78.

Boys 14-15

New Jersey Junior Open

YiWen Wang from Scarsdale, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wang brought in scores of 72 and 75 for a combined total of 147 (+3) for the weekend. Grady Gore from Far Hills, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 83 for a combined total of 164 (+20). Eli Kaufman from Montville, NJ finished the top three honors with scores of 88 and 78 for a weekend total of 166 (+22).

New Jersey Junior Open

Tong Si from Millburn, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Si brought in scores of 72 and 76 for a combined total of 148 (+4) for the weekend. Henry Graham from Greenwich, CT was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151 (+7). Leo Graham from Greenwich, CT finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 76 for a weekend total of 154 (+10).

Sarah Shao from Green Brook, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Shao brought in scores of 77 and 72 for a combined total of 149 (+5) for the weekend. Marisa Flores from Paramus, NJ and Aubrey Lee from Oradell, NJ tied for second-place. Flores tallied round scores of 78 and 82 for a combined weekend score of 160 (+16), while Lee brought in scores of 81 and 79 for a combined weekend score of 160 (+16).

Eleanor Lim from Englewood Cliffs, NJ won in a playoff for first place this weekend. Lim brought in scores of 96 and 93 for a combined total of 189 (+45) for the weekend. Reagan Falconi from Pennington, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 93 and 96 for a combined total of 189 (+45). Prisha Pandey from Edison, NJ finished the top three honors with scores of 103 and 97 for a weekend total of 200 (+56).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
