Nashville Winter Junior Open

From November 13-14, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Nashville Winter Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Nashville Winter Junior Open

Blades Brown from Nashville, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Brown brought in scores of 72 and 72 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. David Schneider Jerez from Mijas Costa, Malaga, Spain was this weekend’s runner up with scores of 74 and 71 for a weekend total of 145. Ashton McArthur from Rexburg, ID finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 72 for a combined weekend total of 146.

Nashville Winter Junior Open

Nick Vilela from Washington, MO was the first-place finisher this weekend. Vilela brought in scores of 73 and 73 for a combined total of 146 for the weekend. Harper Ackermann from Webster Groves, MO was this weekend’s runner up with scores of 76 and 71 for a total of 147. Will Cothran from Nolensville, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 74 for a weekend total of 153.

Lunden Esterline from Andover, KS was the first-place finisher this weekend. Esterline brought in scores of 76 and 74 for a combined total of 150. Jacob Clark from Lebanon, MO was this weekend’s runner up with scores of 80 and 77 for a combined total of 157. Lyoto Bellon from Saint Louis, MO finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 83 for a combined total of 159.

Ella Manley from Calhoun, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Manley brought in scores of 77 and 75 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Shelly Jang from Franklin, TN and Rowan Pies from Lawrenceburg, IN tied for this weekend’s runner up. Jang finished with scores of 76 and 80 for a total of 156. Pies completed this weekend with scores of 78 and 78 for a weekend total of 156.

Maya Fujisawa Keuling from Carmel, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Fujisawa Keuling brought in scores of 78 and 82 for a combined total of 160. Anika Okuda from Union, KY was this weekend’s runner up with scores of 89 and 93 for a combined total of 182. Camille DeLost from Kenosha, WI finished the top three honors with scores of 93 and 91 for a combined total of 184.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
