From March 4-5, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Nashville Junior Shootout at Hermitage. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Austin Bibb from Eads, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bibb brought in scores of 73 and 68 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Dakota Cunningham from Olive Branch, MS was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 72 and 70 for a combined total of 142. Michael Shivers from Brentwood, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 68 for a weekend total of 147.
Boys 14-15

Will Abernathy from Athens, AL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Abernathy brought in scores of 77 and 75 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Preston Lancaster from Sharpsville, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 78 for a combined total of 158. Lewis Niad from Oak Ridge, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 76 for a weekend total of 159.
Boys 11-13

Brookman Tyrer from Franklin, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tyrer brought in scores of 73 and 68 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Charlie Kitchen from Nashville, TN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 73 for a combined total of 154. Harper Ward from Nashville, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 81 for a weekend total of 159.
Girls 14-18

Emily Renoff from Glen Ridge, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Renoff brought in scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Taylor Sieg from Summit, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 76 for a combined total of 154. Sloane Biddle from Old Hickory, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 80 for a weekend total of 156
Girls U13

Penelope Philip from Brentwood, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Philip brought in a score of 95 on both days for a combined total of 190 for the weekend. Sophia DeFazio from Louisville, KY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 112 and 106 for a combined total of 218.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
