Nashville Fall Challenge

On Thursday, November 16, 2017, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Nashville, TN to host the Nashville Fall Challenge at the beautiful Hermitage Golf Club. The players battled through a cold and windy Saturday to find an even colder round on Sunday. Even with the brutal conditions on Sunday, nothing could stop us from having a great weekend!

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

Nashville Fall Challenge

Sean Anderson of Jonesborough, TN is the boys 16-18 champion. Anderson solidified the victory in his division carding a 74 on Saturday and a 78 on Sunday for a two-day total of 152. Case Englehart of Jackson, MO finished in 2nd with a two-day total of 153 (75-78).  3rd place went to Hayden Hunneke of Chattanooga, TN who carded a two-day total of 155. The players had a great time competing against some of the best junior golfers in the country.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Nashville Fall Challenge

Evan Reed of Shelbyville, TN is the champion of the boys 14-15 division. Reed posted a round of 73 on Saturday and 77 on Sunday for a 150 two-day total to claim the title. William Patrick of Oneonta, AL came in a close 2nd after finishing with a two-day total of 151 (76-75). Jack Dumas of Le Claire, IA was the 3rd place finisher after a two-day total of 156 (74-82). This division had great competition and each player can walk away proud of their effort.

Ernie Els 11-13

Nashville Fall Challenge

Jack Taylor of Nashville, TN is the boys 11-13 champion. After an 80 on Saturday, Taylor closed strong with a final round of 82 to secure the victory finishing with a two-day total of 162. Tommy Frist of Nashville, TN finished 2nd with a two-day total of 164. Alexander Moller of New York, NY finished alone in 3rd place with a two-day total of 165 (78-87). The boys had a fun time navigating through the course and showed maturity beyond their years in assaulting its many challenges.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Nashville Fall Challenge

Carson McKie of Hoover, AL is the girls 14-18 champion. McKie was consistent, shooting 76 both days for a two-day total of 152. Finishing in 2nd from Lake St. Louis, MO was Grace Aromando who posted rounds of 78 and 82 to finish with a total of 160. Taryn Overstreet of Jackson, MO finished in 3rd place with a two-day total of 163 (76-87). The ladies each enjoyed their experience, with some intense competition down the stretch.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Nashville Fall Challenge

Macy Beeson is the girls 13 and under champion. Beeson of Lapel, IN emerged victorious after posting a two-day total of 173 (85-88). Finishing 2nd with a two-day total of 200 was Hailey Coleman of Radcliff, KY. Finishing in 3rd for the girls 13U was Grace Hightower of Jackson, MO who posted a two-day total of 221. The girls displayed tremendous fortitude while trekking through the difficult course layout.

Boys 10 Under

Nashville Fall Challenge

Brycen Tisch of Zionsville, IN took home the 1st place trophy for the boys 10U division. Tisch won with a two-day total of 180. Ian Lambert of Jackson, MO finished with a two-day total of 181 (94-87). Coming in 3rd in the boys 10U division was Maverick Beeson of Lapel, IN who finished with a 201 (95-106).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
