From March 20th to March 21st, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held theRichmond Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Conner Brown from Cherryville, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Brown brought in scores of 77 and 75 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Benjamin Peters from Winston-Salem, NC was the runner up for the weekend with consistent scores of 78 for a combined total of 156. Tommy Vrablic from Avon, OH finished with the top three honors. Vrablic brought in scores of 80 and 79 for a weekend total of 159.
Boys 14-15

Rich Wills from Cramerton, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wills brought in scores of 77 and 76 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Jack Wiley from Raleigh, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 79 for a combined total of 163. Jason Zawtocki from Charlotte, NC finished with the top three honors with scores of 90 and 86 for a weekend total of 176.
Boys 11-13

Brandon Yabandith from St. Michael, MN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Yabandith brought in scores of 83 and 78 for a combined total of 161 for the weekend. Stokes Greene from Charlotte, NC and Graham Wagner from Charlotte, NC tied for the runner up honors for the weekend. Greene finished with scores of 93 and 83 for a combined total of 176. Wagner brought in scores of 90 and 86 for a weekend total of 176.
Girls 14-18

Brooke Sutton from Concord, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Sutton brought in scores of 91 and 81 for a combined total of 172 for the weekend. Elan Fleetwood from Parker, CO was the runner up for the weekend with consistent scores of 87 for a combined total of 174. Emily Nelson from Brentwood, TN finished with the top three honors with scores of 94 and 97 for a weekend total of 191.
Girls U13

Collins Clinard from Waxhaw, NC was the first place finisher this weekend. Clinard brought in scores of 96 and 99 for a combined total of 195 for the weekend. Kennedy Kite from Mint Hill, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 103 and 102 for a combined total of 205. Parisa Majumdar from Cary, NC finished with the top three honors with scores of 134 and 111 for a weekend total of 245.
Boys 10 Under

Joshua Pittenger from Charlotte, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Pittenger brought in scores of 102 and 91 for a combined total of 193 for the weekend. Warren Pittenger from Charlotte, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 102 and 99 for a combined total of 201.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
