Mission Inn Spring Junior Open

From April 17-18, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Mission Inn Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division,  Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.

Gavin Clutts from Hazard, KY was the first place finisher for the weekend. Clutts finished with scores of 73 and 69 for a weekend total of 142. Cooper Lindberg from Calgary, Canada was the runner up for the weekend. Lindberg brought in consistent scores of 72 for a weekend finish of 144. Kiefer Bulau from Aurora, Canada rounded out the top three honors with scores of 73 and 72 for a weekend total of 145.

Elisey Antropenko from Moscow, Russia was the first place finisher for the weekend. Antropenko brought in scores of 77 and 76 for a weekend total of 153. Jizhou Tian from Lake Mary, FL was the runner up for the weekend. Tian finished with scores of 75 and 80 for a weekend total of 155. Darien Herlick from Saskatchewan, Canada rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Herlick finished with scores of 77 and 83 for a weekend total of 160.

Trevor Challice from Palm Coast, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Challice finished with scores of 78 and 74 for a weekend total of 152. Jordan Paulshock from Wesley Chapel, FL was the runner up for the weekend. Paulshock brought in scores of 82 and 83 for a weekend total of 165. Raffaello Galiano from Coral Springs, FL rounded out the top three honors. Galiano finshed with scores of 94 and 91 for a weekend total of 171.

Mariana Mesones from Wesley Chapel, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Mesones brought in scores of 70 and 74 for a weekend total of 144. Yaya Sadamoto from Wesley Chapel, FL was the runner up for the weekend. Sadamoto finished with consistent scores of 73 for a weekend total of 146. Olivia Deakins from Dobbs Ferry, NY rounded out the top three honors. Deakins finished with scores of 75 and 77 for a final total of 152.

Grace Carter from Jupitar, FL was the first place finsher for the weekend. Carter finished with scores of 74 and 72 for a weekend total of 146. Keala Richichi from Jupitar, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 83, a final score of 164. Lexi Clark from Naples, FL rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Clark brought in scores of 109 and 96 for a weekend total of 205.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
