From June 18-19, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Minnesota Kickoff. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.
Boys 16-18
Joseph Rohlwing from Apple Valley, Minnesota was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rohlwing brought in scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Tyler Wanous from Eagan, Minnesota was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 74 for a combined total of 153. Jimmy Abdo from Edina, Minnesota finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 75 for a weekend total of 154.
Boys 14-15
Brandon Yabandith from St. Michael, Minnesota was the first-place finisher this weekend. Yabandith brought in scores of 79 and 77 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Jack Kelly from Edina, Minnesota was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 89 for a combined total of 174. Drake Card from Hudson, Wisconsin finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 91 for a weekend total of 176.
Boys 11-13
William Roiland from Elk River, Minnesota was the first-place finisher this weekend. Roiland brought in scores of 77 and 78 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Archimedes Xiong from River Falls, Wisconsin was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 92 and 89 for a combined total of 181. Dylan Hughes from Rochester, Minnesota finished the top three honors with scores of 97 and 101 for a weekend total of 198.
Girls 14-18
Lauren Chambs from Plymouth, Minnesota was the first-place finisher this weekend. Chambs brought in scores of 84 and 85 for a combined total of 169 for the weekend. Lexie McGrane from Hugo, Minnesota was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89 and 80 for a combined total of 169. Cecilia Arndt from Columbus, New England finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 85 for a weekend total of 170.
Girls U13
Ella Souli from Ostego, Minnesota was the first-place finisher this weekend. Souli brought n scores of 94 and 95 for a combined total of 189 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
