From Saturday, June 22nd through Sunday June 23rd,the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Minnesota Jr. Open at Northfolk. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Boys 10 and under, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.
J.J. Wickman of Mason City, IA took lead after scoring a 77 on Saturday and remaining at the top of the leaderboard all weekend. Wickman followed up his first-round score with an 80 on Sunday to win by a four-shot margin. Stellan Orvick of Minneapolis, MN claimed runner-up honors with a weekend total of 161 strokes and a 76 on Saturday. And rounding up the top-three was Hogan Reuter of Farmington, MN with a weekend total of 169 strokes.
William Sanford of Sioux Falls, SD led the Will Smith Division with a 149 two-round total to take the lead with a first-round 76 and remain in contention the rest of the weekend. Sanford closed out his weekend with a 73 on Sunday to win. Following his lead, Kyler Schwamb of Farmington, MN finished with a 159 two-round total to take runner-up honors. And finishing up the top-three was Jacks Schrader of Maple Grove, MN with a total of 164 strokes for the weekend.
Ryan Stendahl of Maple Grove, MN led the division with an impressive weekend total of 140 strokes. Stendahl shot rounds of 71-69 to claim victory honors and a weekend total of four under. Following him was Carter Callan of Hanover, MN with a weekend total of 163strokes to claim solo runner-up honors on Sunday. And finishing up the top-three was Tanner Doeden of Fargo, ND with a total of 170 strokes for the weekend.
Emily Doeden of Fargo, ND shot an 85 the first day to lead the division all weekend. Doeden was able to seal the victory with a final-round of 77 and birdies on holes 8 and 10. Following her was Paige O’Neal of Woodbury, MN with a weekend total of 174, claiming solo runner-up honors for the division. Rounding up the top-three was London Wille of Van Meter, IA with a weekend total of 181 strokes to claim third-place honors.

Ryder Haskins of Minnetrista, MN was our lone competitor for the division, shooting a 200 weekend total to claim victory.
