Miami Spring Junior Open

From April 10-11, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Miami Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division,  Boys Under 10 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Miami Spring Junior Open

Frank Bellino from Sarasota, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Bellino brought in scores of 74 and 75 for a weekend total of 149. Rafli Sati from Medan, Indonesia was the runner up for the weekend. Sati finished with scores of 80 and 77 for a 157 weekend finish. Harrison DeLisle from Miami Beach, FL rounded out the top three honors for the weekend with scores of 80 and 78, a 158 total.

Boys 14-15

Alex Morales from Boca Raton, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Morales finished with scores of 85 and 86 for a total of 171. William M. Green from Locust Valley, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 89, a 175 total. Samuel Gilden from Davie, FL rounded out the top three honors with scores of 101 and 85, finishing with a 186 total.

Miami Spring Junior Open

Ethan Hoffmann from Hamburg, Germany was the first place finisher for the weekend. Hoffmann finished with scores of 77 and 73 for a weekend total of 150. Quinn Egan from White Plains, NY was the runner up for the weekend. Egan finished with scores of 84 and 89 for a 173 weekend total. Cole Laffere from Miami, FL rounded out the top three honors. Laffere brought in scores of 98 and 88 for a weekend total of 186.

Gabriela Mead from Maimi, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Mead finished with scores of 87 and 82 for a weekend total of 169. Sara Vitasek from Naples, FL was the runner up for the weekend. Vitasek finished with scores of 88 and 90 for a weekend total of 178.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
