From March 11-12, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Memphis Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Payne Bius from Marion, AR was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bius brought in scores of 77 and 72 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Zachary Olsen from Germantown, TN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 79 for a combined total of 152. Haydn Robertson from Maumelle, AR finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 77 for a weekend total of 157.
Boys 14-15

Hudson Shy from Saint Charles, MO was the first-place finisher this weekend. Shy brought in scores of 79 and 80 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Miles McNamee from Germantown, TN was the runner up for the weekend with a score of 80 on both days for a combined total of 160. Luke Schmiegelow from Little Rock, AR finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 86 for a weekend total of 163.
Boys 11-13
Girls 14-18

Grace Denegri from Germantown, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Denegri brought in a score of 83 on both days for a combined total of 166 for the weekend. Kiersten Riggins from Trussville, AL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 87 for a combined total of 172. Mathile Walker from Memphis, TN finished the top three honors with a score of 88 on both days for a weekend total of 176.
Girls U13
Boys 10 Under

Braxton Thomas from Stilwell, OK was the first-place finisher this weekend. Thomas brought in scores of 84 and 86 for a combined total of 170 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
