Memorial Day Junior Open at Deerfield

From May 29-31, 2021 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Memorial Day Junior Open at Deerfield. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Memorial Day Junior Open at Deerfield

Benjamin Siriboury from Columbia, Maryland was the first-place finisher this weekend. Siriboury brought in scores of 72 and 74 for a combined total of 146 (+6) for the weekend. Kristof Kopecky from Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 77 for a combined total of 156 (+16). Cameron Kapiskosky from Huntingtown, Maryland finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 77 for a weekend total of 162 (+22).

Samuel Walker from Burke, Virginia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Walker brought in scores of 83 and 78 for a combined total of 161 (+21) for the weekend. Matthew Lu from Basking Ridge, New Jersey was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 82 and 80 for a combined total of 162 (+22). Andrew Hwang from McLean, Virginia finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 82 for a weekend total of 167 (+27).

Davis Conaway from West Chester, Pennsylvania was the first-place finisher this weekend. Conaway brought in scores of 80 and 79 for a combined total of 159 (+19) for the weekend. Spencer Cohen from Rosyln Heights, New York was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 79 for a combined total of 163 (+23). Anthony Panarelli from Tarrytown, New York finished the top three honors with scores of 109 and 91 for a weekend total of 200 (+60).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
