Maryland Fall Jr. Open

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Maryland Fall Jr. Open from September 28-29, 2019. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

Maryland Fall Jr. Open

Manley Garnett III from Lynchburg, Virginia clinched the division title with scores of 69 and 67 for a combined total of 136 for the weekend. He shot 4 birdies Saturday and 4 Sunday. Jonathan Tark of Montgomery, Alabama sealed the second place title with scores of 71 and 69 for a total score of 140.  Tark put up 4 birdies Saturday and 6 Sunday. Graham Kalan of Alexandria, Virginia sealed the third place title with scores of 71 and 72 for a total score of 143.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Maryland Fall Jr. Open

Jake Roth of Rockville, Maryland stole the champion position with scores of 72 and 75 for a total of 147 for the weekend. Roth finished with 2 birdies and 3 bogies. Peter Barros of Bethesda, Maryland is our runner up this weekend. Barros put up scores of 77 and 75 for a total of 152. Preston Worch out of Rockville, Maryland concludes the division with third place. Worch’s scores consisted of 80 and 75 for a total of 155 for the weekend.

Ernie Els 11-13

Maryland Fall Jr. Open

Aiden Patel from Ashburn, Virginia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Patel brought in scores of 81 and 75 with a combined score of 156. Mason Duhaime from Potomac Falls, Virginia was the second-place finisher with scores of 78 and 78 for a total of 157. Alexander McClain of Reston, Virginia came in third with scores of 82 and 87 for a total of 169.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Maryland Fall Jr. Open

Maddie Mccully of Knoxville, Maryland led her division as she finished with scores of 79 and 80 for a grand total of 159 for the weekend. Gabriella Mead of Miami, Florida took home the second place title with scores of 81 and 79 for a total of 160. Rounding out the division was Emily McAninch of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. McAninch had scores of 91 and 85 for a total of 176.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Maryland Fall Jr. Open

Megan Kirkpatrick of Glenwood, Maryland came out as champion with scores of 72 and 79 for a total of 151. Leela Kenwood of Bethesda, Maryland finished the weekend in second place with scores of 96 and 98 for a total of 194.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
