Major Championship at Little Mountain

On Saturday May 5 – Sunday May 6, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Major Championship at Little Mountain at Little Mountain Country Club in Concord, Ohio. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Boys Under 10 Division, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 and the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

Major Championship at Little Mountain

Alec Hite of North East, Pennsylvania finished in first place with a two-day total score of 149(77-72) in the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18. Nolan Kimberly of Zanesville, Ohio came in second place with a two-day total score of 151(79-72). Andrew Kaye of Avon Lake, Ohio and Thomas Henson of Hermann, Missouri tied for third place with a two-day total score of 152.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Major Championship at Little Mountain

In the Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Gaige Keane of Temperance, Michigan finished in first place with a two-day total score of 153(79-74). Charlie Fischer of Orchard Park, New York came in second place with a two-day total score of 157(79-78). Andrew Martin of Westlake, Ohio finished in third place with a two-day total score 170(85-85).

Major Championship at Little Mountain

Breckin Taylor of Fairview finished in first place in the Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13. Breckin finished with a two-day total score of 169(85-84). Landen Howard of Richmond, Kentucky came in second place with a two-day total score of 171(88-83). Braden Hilditch of Erie, Pennsylvania finished in third place with a two-day total score of 175(86-89).

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Jami Morris of Orange Village, Ohio finished in first place in the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18. Jami finished with a two-day total score of 155(82-73). Zo McClain of Erie, Pennsylvania came in second place with a two-day total score of 162(81-81). Hallie Boles of Barbourville, Kentucky finished in third place with a two-day total score of 170(84-86).

In the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13, Gianna Clemente of Warren, Ohio finished in first place with a two-day total score 151(77-74). Kavya Chada of Hinckley came in second place with a two-day total score of 187(94-93).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
