From May 21-22, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Major Championship at Countryside. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Tyson Sparks From Muskego, Wisconsin was the first place finisher this weekend. Sparks brought in scores of 75 and 73 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. William Lange from Lake Barrington, Illinois was the runner-up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151. Jackson Overton from Indianola, Indiana finished the top three honors with scores of 78 ad 76 for a weekend total of 154.
Boys 14-15

Zachary Johnson from Maple Grove, Minnesota was the first-place finisher after beating Charlie Pettrone in a playoff match. Johnson brought in scores of 77 and 77 for a combined total of154 for the weekend. Pettrone, from Crystal Lake, Illinois, was the runner up this weekend after the playoff match with scores of 80 and 74 for a combined total of 154. Logan Keeter from Northbrook, Illinois finished with top three honors with scores of 80 and 80 for a weekend total of 160.
Boys 11-13
Girls 14-18

Caroline Owens from Hinsdale. Illinois was the first-place finisher this weekend. Owens brought in scores of 82 and 74 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Mackenzie Wilson from Crown Point. Illinois was the runner-up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 86 for a combined total of 172. Madeline Cournoyer finished the top three honors with scores of 93 and 90 for a weekend total of 183.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
