Major Championship at Copper Creek

From August 6-7, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Major Championship at Copper Creek. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Major Championship at Copper Creek

Andrew Fallis, from Columbia, Missouri was the first-place finisher this weekend after beating Joseph Rohlwing, from Apple Valley, Minnesota in a playoff match. Fallis brought in scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Rohlwing was the runner up this weekend with scores of 70 and 81 for a combined total of 151. Benjamin Lemke, from Lincoln, Nebraska finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 79 for a weekend total of 154.

Boys 14-15

Tony Song, from Windsor Heights, Iowa was the first-place finisher this weekend. Song brought in scores of 83 and 78 for a combined total of 161 for the weekend. Xiong Kal El, from River Falls, Wisconsin was the runner up with scores of 85 and 89 for a combined total of 174.

Archimedes Xiong, from River Falls, Wisconsin was the first-plce finisher this weekend. Xiong brought in scores of 85 and 80 for a combined total of 165 for the weekend.

Cecilia Arndt, from Columbus, Nebraska was the first-place finisher this weekend. Arndt brought in scores of 75 and 78 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Savannah Thessing, from Nixa, Missouri was the runner up with scores of 81 and 80 for a combined total of 161. Kelby Anderson, From International Falls, Minnesota finished the top three honors with scores of 91 and 88 for a weekend total of 179.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
