LPGA Summer Junior Open

From July 17-18, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the LPGA Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

LPGA Summer Junior Open

Ethan Badillo from Reunion, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Badillo brought in scores of 73 and 79 for a combined total of 152 (+8) for the weekend. Davis Brooks from Ormond Beach, FL and Ben Walker from Winter Park, FL tied for second place with a score of 154 (+10). Brooks brought in round scores of 76 and 78, while Walker tallied scores of 77 and 77.

Boys 14-15

LPGA Summer Junior Open

Ryan Johnson from Morehead City, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Johnson brought in scores of 79 and 79 for a combined total of 158 (+14) for the weekend. Alejandro Scarpetta Rivas from Bogota, Colombia was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 81 for a combined total of 164 (+20). Alejandro Arvizu Jr. finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 82 for a weekend total of 165 (+21).

LPGA Summer Junior Open

Landry Williams from Hilton Head Island, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Williams brought in scores of 76 and 77 for a combined total of 153 (+9) for the weekend. Avery Liu from Windermere, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 79 for a combined total of 160 (+16). Ben Bruehl from Austin, TX finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 90 for a weekend total of 171 (+27).

Scarlett Schremmer from Birmingham, AL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Schremmer brought in scores of 69 and 69 for a combined total of 138 (-6) for the weekend. Alexis Rieli from Apopka, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 70 and 75 for a combined total of 145 (+1). Noelia Adkins from Bristol, TN finished the top three honors with scores of  72 and 74 for a weekend total of 146 (+2).

Grace Carter from Jupiter, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carter brought in scores of 71 and 71 for a combined total of 142 (-2) for the weekend. Maria Mercedes Tablante from Lecheria, Venezuela was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 75 for a combined total of 150 (+6). Maya Fujisawa Keuling from Carmel, IN finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 73 for a weekend total of 157 (+13).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
