Low Country Fall Junior Open

From October 2-3, 2021 , the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Low Country Fall Junior Open . The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Low Country Fall Junior Open

Thomas Ford from Hilton Head, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ford brought in scores of 71 and 71 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Yi Dong Wang from Foshan, China  was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148. Kentaro Takai from Tokyo, Japan finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 74 for a weekend total of 151.

Boys 14-15

Low Country Fall Junior Open

Carter Allison from Mount Pleasant, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Allison brought in scores of 76 and 73 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Conner Requidan from Hanahan, SC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 72 for a combined total of 156. Michael Gavin from Hilton Head Island, SC finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 80 for a weekend total of 160.

Low Country Fall Junior Open

Hunter Hylton from Hilton Head Island, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hylton brought in scores of 80 and 79 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Jamen Sanders from Goose Creek, SC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 81 for a combined total of 159. Patrick Mahaffey from Richmond Hill, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 82 for a weekend total of 160.

Annabelle Mozingo from Jacksonville, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mozingo brought in scores of 94 and 89 for a combined total of 183 for the weekend. Noe Hirota from Tokyo, Japan and Biya Wang from Guanzhou, China tied for the runner up honors for the weekend. Hirota brought in scores of 93 and 92 for a 185. Wang finished with scores of 95 and 90 for a final total of 185.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
