Low Country Fall Junior Open

From October 3-4, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Low Country Fall Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Low Country Fall Junior Open

Luis Thompson from Charleston, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Thompson brought in scores of 70 and 72 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Eric Mahlman from West Harrison, NY and Zach Stewart from Duxbury, MA were the runners up for the weekend. Mahlman with scores of 72 and 75 for a combined total of 147. Stewart finished with scores of 73 and 74 for a weekend total of 147.

Finley Burke from Jesup, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Burke brought in scores of 82 and 79 for a combined total of 161 for the weekend. King Carter from Waxhaw, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89 and 78 for a combined total of 167. Aaron Browning from Waxhaw, NC finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 84 for a weekend total of 169.

Braden Schnaible from Savannah, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Schnaible brought in scores of 79 and 77 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Ethan Weinberg from Marlboro, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 85 for a combined total of 163. Hunter Hylton from Hilton Head Island, SC finished the top three honors with scores of 89 and 86 for a weekend total of 175.

Noe Hirota from Tokyo, Japan and Olivia Wilkie from Bluffton, SC were both the runners up for the weekend. Hirota with scores of 80 and 79 for a combined total of 159. Wilkie finished with scores of 78 and 81 for a weekend total of 159.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
