Longbow Junior Open

From January 30-31, 2021 , the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Longbow Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Zachary Frazer from Coppell, TX  was the first-place finisher this weekend. Frazer brought in scores of 76 and 72 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. William Sanford from Sioux Falls SD was  the runner ups for the weekend.Sanford with scores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152 . Archer Schnieders from Jefferson City, MO and Will Strong from Boise, ID tied for the top three honors. Schnieders brought in scores of 78 and 75 for a weekend total of 153 and Strong finished with scores of 74 and 79 with a weekend total of 153.

Jack Taylor from Scottsdale, AZ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Taylor brought in scores of 74 and 78 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Tristin Wisener from Hartselle, AL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 74 for a combined total of 154. Beau Sahr  from Eagle, ID finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 80 for a weekend total of 157.

Taylor Baik from Hillborough, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Baik brought in scores of 76 and 80 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Shandiin Harper from Farmington, NM was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 82 for a combined total of 165. McKenna Nelson from Beaver Dam, WI finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 84 for a weekend total of 169.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
