Lake Nona Junior Open

From June 15-16, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Lake Nona Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Lake Nona Junior Open

Tim Chang from Taichung City, Taiwan was the first-place finisher this weekend. Chang brought in scores of 64 and 71 for a combined total of 135 for the weekend. Aaron Lin from New Taipei City, Taiwan was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 71 for a combined total of 142. Will Browning from Orlando, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 68 and 81 for a weekend total of 149.

Dallas Torres from Oviedo, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Torres brought in scores of 71 and 71 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Konner Kubica from Lutz, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148. Nicklaus Downing from Windermere, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 75 for a weekend total of 151.

Ayden Febres from St Cloud, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Febres brought in scores of 70 and 72 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Patrick Shawger from Singer Island, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 72 for a combined total of 148. Orlando Torres from Oviedo, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 77 for a weekend total of 152.

Jasmine Lai from Huizhou, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lai brough in scores of 69 and 69 for a combined total of 138 for the weekend. Kate Joyner from Lakeland, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 73 for a combined total of 144. One Kashima from Tochigi, Japan finished with a third place tie with scores of 75 and 73 for a weekend total of 148. Yaya Sadamoto from Wesley Chapel, Florida finished the top three honors with a third place tie scoring 74 and 74 for a weekend total of 148.

Grace Carter from Jupiter, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carter brought in scores of 71 and 70 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Camiryn Jackson from Altamonte Springs, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 79 for a combined total of 153. Lilliana Ford from Debary, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 76 for a weekend total of 155.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
