From August 28-29, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Lake Buena Vista Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of Five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Landon Durham from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Durham brought in scores of 72 and 73 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Zach Baldwin from Gainesville and Ayushman (AJ) Jaiswal from Bangalore, India shared the runner up titles for the weekend. Baldwin brought in scores of 74 and 74 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Jaiswal brought in scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend.
Boys 14-15

Darrell Santiago from Cidra, Puetro Rico was the first-place finisher this weekend. Santiago brought in scores of 79 and 74 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Miguel Angel Gomez from Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 81 for a combined total of 162. Adam “AJ” Hovermale JR from Lakewood Ranch, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 87 for a weekend total of 164.
Boys 11-13

Evan Pena from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico was the first-place finisher this weekend. Pena brought in scores of 70 and 74 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Ziyang Wang from Orlando, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149. Luis Geraldo Eboli Villegas from Merida, Mexico finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 74 for a weekend total of 151.
Girls 14-18

Mara King from Longwood, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend with a playoff win against Ximena Benites from Trujilo, Peru. King brought in scores of 74 and 78 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Benites from was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152. Taylor Zachary from Land O’ Lakes, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 75 for a weekend total of 153.
Girls U13

Amelia Santiago from Yulee, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Santiago brought in scores of 87 and 81 for a combined total of 168 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
