From January 30th -31st , the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Kiawah Island Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Eric Mehlman from West Harrison, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mehlman brought in scores of 74 and 73 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Alex Felicione from Northfield, IL was the runner up for the weekend. Felicione with scores of 78 and 74 for a combined total of 152 . Spencer Benton from Gilbert, SC finished with the top three honors. Benton with scores of 79 and 74 for a weekend total of 153.
Boys 14-15

OT Mitchell from Fort Mill, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mitchell brought in scores of 81 and 76 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Deaton Reed from Lancaster, SC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 78 for a combined total of 159. Rich Wills from Cramerton, NC finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 82 for a weekend total of 163.
Boys 11-13

Frank Lockwood from Charleston, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lockwood brought in scores of 84 and 76 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Ethan Weinberg from Marlboro, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 82 and 84 for a combined total of 166. Jamen Sanders from Goose Creek, SC finished the top three honors with scores of 88 and 81 for a weekend total of 169.
Girls 14-18

Emma Davies from Eden Prairie, MN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Davies brought in scores of 85 and 86 for a combined total of 171 for the weekend. Vaidehi Shah from Bridgewater, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 90 and 85 for a combined total of 175. Noe Hirota from Tokyo, Japan finished the top three honors with scores of 91 and 85 for a weekend total of 176.
Girls U13

Eva Becerril from Cincinnati, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. Becerril brought in scores of 92 and 84 for a combined total of 176 for the weekend. Collins Clinard from Waxhaw, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 96 and 97 for a combined total of 193. Adalynne Forchette from Peachtree City, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 104 and 103 for a weekend total of 207.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
