Kiawah Island Junior Open

From February 1st through the 2nd the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Kiawah IslandJunior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with afield of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10 and Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Colt Ingram from Aiken, South Carolina was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ingram brought in scores of 75 and 75 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Andrew Watson from Fredricksburg, Virginia.was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 75 for a combined total of 150. Harry De Grood from Charleston, South Carolina finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 76 for a weekend total of 158.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Sam McMilliam, from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 74 and 74 for a combined total of 148. Rowan Sullivan  from Charleston, South Carolina was the runner up with scores of 73 and 76 for a 149. Daniel Donato from Miles Eubanks finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 76 for a weekend total of 153.

Liam O’Grady from Louisville, KY was the first-place finisher this weekend. O’Grady brought in scores of 84 and 73 with a combined score of 157. Aiden Aguilar from Myrtle Beach, SC was the second-place finisher with scores of 86 and 85 for a total of 171. To round out the top three was Michael Clifford-Levy from New York, NY ended the weekend with scores of 95 and 94 for a total of 189.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Sophia Robinson from Weston, Massachusetts was the top finisher with impressive scores of 77 and 80for a 157 weekend finish. Adalyn Johnston from Oshkosh, Wisconsin took home the runner up title with scores of 95 and 88 for a weekend total of 183.  Emilia Rose from Chicago, Illinois rounded out the top three with scores of 87 and 96 a combined total of 183.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
