From June 19-20, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Joe Dumphy Memorial Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Garrett Horton from Clayton GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Horton brought in scores of 71 and 75 for a combined total of 146 (+2) for the weekend. Hayden Gatlin from Auston, TX and Ivan Sablan from Dededo, Guam tied for second-place. Gatlin brough in round scores of 75 and 74 for a weekend total of 149 (+5), while Ivan Sablan tallied scores of 70 and 79 for a combined total of 149 (+5).
Boys 14-15

Jared Carr from Tucker, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carr brought in scores of 76 and 73 for a combined total of 149 (+5) for the weekend. Cooper Joy from Suwanee, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 78 for a combined total of 153 (+9). Walker Baird from Woodstock, GA and Josh Durthaler from Dunwoody, GA tied for third-place. Baird brought in scores of 80 and 77, while Durthaler tallied scores of 81 and 76, putting them both at a combined total of 157 (+13).
Boys 11-13

Jack Gibbs from Duluth, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gibbs brought in scores of 80 and 84 for a combined total of 164 (+20) for the weekend. Ethan Nie from Johns Creek, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 90 for a combined total of 176 (+32).
Girls 14-18

Lainey Panter from Blue Ridge, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Panter brought in scores of 78 and 81 for a combined total of 159 (+15) for the weekend. Isabella Bugg from Franklin, TN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 82 and 81 for a combined total of 163 (+19). Lydia Pils from Gainesville, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 85 for a weekend total of 166 (+22).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
