From February 4-5, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Jacksonville Beach Junior Open The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Dylan Mason from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mason brought in scores of 78 and 73 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Miles Martin from Titusville, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 73 for a combined total of 151. Mason defeated Martin in a playoff. Cole Ross from Waunakee, WI finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 74 for a weekend total of 153.
Cassius Winch from St. Augustine, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Winch brought in scores of 79 and 80 a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Taesan Kang from Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 78 for a combined total of 161. Nicolas Santoso from Banten, Indonesia finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 78 for a weekend total of 162.
Jake Mason from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mason brought in scores of 71 and 67 for a combined total of 138 for the weekend.
Yu Bai from Saratoga, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bai brought in scores of 79 and 74 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Sophie Aanes from Kentfield, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 80 for a combined total of 165. Rachel Sim from Bradenton, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 82 for a weekend total of 168.
Boys 10 Under
Krish Choksi from Jacksonville, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Krish brought in scores of 81 and 77 for a combined total of 158 for the weekend. Banks McAllister from Jacksonville, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 82 for a combined total of 162.
About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
