Indianapolis Junior Open at Legends

From July 9-10, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Indianapolis Junior Open at Legends. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Indianapolis Junior Open at Legends

Blake Stamper from Henryville, Indianapolis was the first-place finisher this weekend. Stamper brought in scores of 72 and 70 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Titus Boswell from Monrovia, Indiana was the runner up with scores of 74 and 77 for a combined total of 151. Tim Powers from St. Louis, Missouri finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 79 for a weekend total of 158.

Indianapolis Junior Open at Legends

Harrison Zipfel from University City, Missouri was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zipfel brought in scores of 72 and 69 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Nick Vilela from Washington, Missouri was the runner up with scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149. Lyoto Bellon from St. Louis, Missouri finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 75 for a weekend total of 155.

Tyler Creavy from Orlando, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Creavy brought in scores of 78 and 80 for a combined total of 158 for the weekend. Jake Hardin from Greenwood, Indiana was the runner up with scores of 87 and 77 for a combined total of 164. Collin Bauer from Fort Wayne, Indiana finished the top three honors with scores of 87 and 86 for a weekend total of 173.

Abigail Bladen from Carmel, Indiana was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bladen brought in scores of 64 and 82 for a combined total of 166 for the weekend. Maya Fujisawa Keuling was the runner up with scores of 88 and 79 for a combined total of 167. Sami Lawrence from Newburgh, Indiana finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 89 for a weekend total of 168.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
