Indiana/Michigan/Canada Sectional

From June 19-20, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Indiana/Michigan/Canada Sectional. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Indiana/Michigan/Canada Sectional

Happy Gilmore from Bloomfield, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gilmore brought in scores of 79 and 72 for a combined total of 151 (+7) for the weekend. Isaac Embry from Crown Point, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 75 for a combined total of 152 (+8). Jack Urbanski from Granger, IN finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 78 for a weekend total of 159 (+15).

Steven Webb from Elkhart, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Webb brought in scores of 84 and 81 for a combined total of 156 (+12) for the weekend. Adam Thanaporn from Ann Arbor, MI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 81 for a combined total of 165 (+21). Bryce Conlee from Zionsville, IN finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 85 for a weekend total of 166 (+22).

Caden Matthias from Fort Wayne, IN won a playoff for first-place this weekend. Matthias brought in scores of 83 and 86 for a combined total of 169 (+25) for the weekend. Thomas Thanaporn from Ann Arbor, MI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 84 for a combined total of 169 (+25). Ryan Tobin Jr. from South Lyon, MI finished the top three honors with scores of 90 and 102 for a weekend total of 192 (+48).

Norah Rossmann from Valparaiso, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 90 and 96 for a combined total of 186 (+42). Harlee Rutledge from Mishawaka, IN finished the top three honors with scores of 131 and 126 for a weekend total of 257 (+113).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
