Holiday Classic at Orange County National

From December 19-20th , the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Holiday Classic at Orange County National. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10,  Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Boys 16-18

Holiday Classic at Orange County National

Shreyas Shankar from Port St. Lucie, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Shankar brought in consistant scores of 69 for a combined total of 138 for the weekend. Maxmilian Jelinek from Port St. Lucie, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 68 and 71 for a combined total of 139. Kiefer Bulau from Aurora, Canada, Jack Snedaker from Lake Mary, FL, and Aaron Zhang from Lake Mary, FL Tied for the top three honors. Bulau and Snedaker both brought in scores of 71 and 70 for a weekend total of 141. Zhang brought in scores on 73 and and impressive 68 on day 2 for a weekend total of 141.

Louie Liu from Bradenton, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Liu brought in scores of 71 and 70 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Shinchi Sai from Saitama, Japan was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 75 for a combined total of 151. George Goff from Hinsdale, IL finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 77 for a weekend total of 152.

Josiah Wang from Windermere, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wang brought in scores of 72 and 77 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Santiago Navarro from Caracas, Venezuela and Mihir Roperia from Cranbury, NJ tied for the runner up honors for the weekend. Navarro brought in scores of 78 and 72 for a combined total of 150. Roperia finished the weekend with scores of 73 and 77 for a total of 150.

Luz Maria Ardila from Bogotá, Colombia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ardila brought in scores of 74 and 71 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Grace Suter from Oconomowoc, WI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148. Elizabeth Kondal from St. Augustine, FL and Elan Zhang from Orlando, FL finished the top three honors. Kondal brought in scores of 74 and 76 for a combined total of 150. Zhang finished the weekend with scores of 76 and 74 for a weekend total of 150.

Shane Frasure from Clermont, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Frasure brought in scores of 76 and 75 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Solomon Tong from Heritage Pointe, Canada was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89 and 76 for a combined total of 165. Rounding out the top three honors was Eric Li from Larchmont, NY. Li finished with consistant scores of 87 for a 174 weekend total.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
