On Saturday November 17 – Sunday November 18, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Hilton Head Junior Open in Hilton Head Island, SC. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Rose Division Girls U13, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18. Tiger Woods Boys 16-18
Aidan McCloskey captured the first-place finish at the Hilton Head Junior Open in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a 2-day total of +13. With solid play both days, McCloskey was able to hold off four players who tied for second by only 2 shots as Michael Wheeler, Thaddeus Wheeler III, Oliver Paddon, and Caden Fletcher all finished at +15.
Will Smith Boys 14-15
In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 Division, Andrew Propes took home first place this weekend by shooting a 2-day total of +7. Solid play in the second round allowed Propes to take victory over Andrew Swanson who finished second with a 2-day total of +8. Rounding out the division was Bryce Wittmer who finished with a total of +23 to claim a 3rd place finish.
Ernie Els 11-13
Dallas Johnson did not disappoint in the Ernie Els Boys 11-13 Division as he finished with a total of +13 to win in his division over Luke Guthrie who scored +16 to claim 2nd place. Rounding out the division was Jackson Cavanaugh shot a 2-day total of +18 to take a solo 3rd place finish.
Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18
Mackenzie Gallagher ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division by finishing with a total of +5. With consistent rounds, Gallagher was able to hold off Katharina Hesse who shot +14 for the weekend to claim 2nd place. Rounding out the division was Briana Gabe who shot a 2-day total of +20 to finish in 3rd place.
Justin Rose Girls U13
In the Justin Rose Girls U13 Division, Emerson Hogue took home the first-place victory by finished with a weekend total of +66.
