From October 17-18, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Greensboro Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Rj Cupelli from Fairfax, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Cupelli brought in scores of 72 and 75 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Ethan Lukes from Chapel Hill, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 72 for a combined total of 147. Cort Benner from Bend, OR finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 75 for a weekend total of 150.
Boys 14-15

JD Cunningham from Halifax, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Cunningham brought in scores of 75 and 82 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Ryne Bond from Floyd, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 82 for a combined total of 165. Aaron Browning from Waxhaw, NC finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 85 for a weekend total of 166.
Boys 11-13

Stokes Greene from Charlotte, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Greene brought in scores of 83 and 90 for a combined total of 173 for the weekend. Logan Eddy from Greensboro, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 100 and 92 for a combined total of 192.
Girls 14-18

Karsyn Roberts from Pikeville, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Roberts brought in scores of 81 and 79 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Madison Srinivasa from Raleigh, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 88 and 81 for a combined total of 169. Abigail Peterson from Bluefield, VA finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 85 for a weekend total of 170.
Girls U13

Honorine Nobuta Ferry from Pinehurst, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Nobuta Ferry brought in scores of 71 and 76 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Ella June Hannant from Pikeville, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 72 for a combined total of 150. Eliana Kim from Manalapan, NJ finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 88 for a weekend total of 174.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
