From January 26th to the 27th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Golden Isles Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13 and Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.
Enrique Yen from Iquique, Chile was the first-place finisher this weekend. Golfer’s Yen brought in scores of 75 and 74 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Trey Tesiero from Saint Johns, Fl was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 77 for a combined total of 151. Landon Durham from Savannah, Georgia finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 75 for a weekend total of 151.
Jackson Klauk, from St. Augustine, FL was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 68 and 79 for a combined total of 149. Carson Brewer from Jasonville, FL and JP English from Ponte Vedra, FL tied for second place with a combine weekend total of 149.
Henry Latta from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Latta brought in scores of 80 and 78 with a combined score of 158. William, Easterlin from Americus, FL was the second-place finisher with scores of 87 and 84 for a total of 171. To round out the top three was Christopher Roddini from Saint Simons Island, GA. Roddini ended the weekend with scores of 94 and 93 for a total of 187.
Kenzie Heba from St. Augustine, FL was the top finisher with impressive scores of 79 and 76 for a 155-weekend finish. Maddi Shoults from Circleville, OH took home the runner up title with scores of 77 and 81 for a weekend total of 158. Maddie Rathjen from St. Augustine, FL rounded out the top three with scores of 87 and 85 for a combined total of 172.
