The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Elite Series from October 12th to the 13th. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 2 divisions that included the Boys Open Division and the Girls Open Division.
Boys 16-18

Daniel Montalvo of Mexico City, Mexico became the Elite Series at Disney Champion in the Boys Open Division. Montalvo put up scores of 74 and 67 for a total score of 139. He had one eagle on hole 1 and 9 birdies. Jeong Joo Kim of South Korea stole the reserve champion title with scores of 67 and 74 for a total score of 141. Kyotaro Kawataba of Bradenton, Florida put up scores of 72 and 70 for a combine total of 142 making him the third place title holder.

Girls 14-18

Alise Knudson of Dallas, Texas defeats her competition making her the Elite Series at Disney Champion in the Girls Open Division. Her scores consisted of 73 and 71 for a combined total of 144. Finishing in second place is Carla Alvarez Perez of Panama City, Panama. Alvarez Perez finished with score of 72 and 74 for a total of 146. Jiaying Lai from Huizhou, China finished with scores of 76 and 73 for a grand total of 149. Lai tied Thin Wai Khaing for third. Khaing of Yangon, Myanmar finished with scores of 74 and 75 for a total of 149.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
