From May 9th to the 10th the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Black Bear Junior Open The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Perry-Austin Kilburn from Monroe, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kilburn brought in scores of 72 and 68 for a combined total of 140 stroke for the weekend. Grant Gobezie from Hunting Valley, OH was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 70 for a combined total of 141. Brian Park from Gyeonngi-do, Republic of Korea and Aaron Williams from Owings Mills, MD tied for the top three honors with scores of 142.
Boys 14-15

Rayan Nabilzadeh from Windermere, FL was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149 strokes. Chace Newhouse from Stowe, VT and Reggie Zhu from Winter Garden tied for runner up this weekend. They both finished with scores of 151 for the weekend
Boys 11-13

Ethan Hoffmann from Hamburg, Germany was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 71 and 76 for a combined total of 147 strokes. Davis Downing from Windermere, FL was the runner up with a score of 75 and 73 for a 148 weekend total. Qi Liu from finished the top three honors with scores of 70 and 80 for a weekend total of 150.
Girls 14-18

Philipa Gollan from Bradenton, FL was the top finisher with impressive scores of 65 and 69 for 134 weekend finish. Miriam Ayora from Barcelona, Spain took home the runner up title with scores of 72 and 66 for a weekend total of 138. Mckenzie Mages from Marietta, GA rounded out the top three with scores of 71 and 68 on giving her a combined total of 139 for the weekend.
Girls U13

Greta Gobezie from Chagrin Fall, OH was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 78 and 74 for a weekend total of 154. Katie Yang from Orlando, FL was the runner up for the weekend with consistant scores of 77, a combined total of 154 strokes. Sammy Chao from Orlando, FL rounded out the top three honors with scores of 84 and 78 for a weekend total of 162.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
